The Un-Derby

Please join us for a night of art and performance! We will have burlesque performances, art vendors, snacks, NA cocktails, and a silent auction! The party starts at 4:30 and will be held in the Pigment room at Melwood Arts Center. This is a fundraiser for HOBA House community arts center. We are currently raising funds to help establish a homestead  where we can host artcentric events and resident artists in a natural environment on the shore of the Ohio. Tickets are limited so get yours now! This is an 18+ event. ID will be required at the door. Also, please be sure to bring some cash to tip the performers! 

Drag contest info: 

Drag as an art form has been around since the 19th century,  and had been used as a tool for challenging social norms and self expression.  HOBA  continues this tradition at the unDerby, by encouraging revelers to come in their best Derby-or anti Derby- inspired drag. HOBA will also host a small drag contest, with the winner receiving a price valued up to $100. Winners will be announced at the close, with the audience getting to choose the best in drag.  Entry is $5 and all proceeds go to helping HOBA continue its mission.

Vendor info: 

We have room for 10 vendor tables at the event. We are looking for local artists and craftspeople to fill these spots. The vending fee is $30. Melwood requires that tables and chairs be rented through the venue and table and chair rentals are $30, so the total cost to vend is $60. Electric will be available. Load in is 3pm. Spots are first come, first serve, so contact us right away if you would like to vend. Send your information along with an image of your products to hobagallery502@gmail.com.
